These Terms of Service govern your use of our website (rabbitsci.io), online store (store.rabbitsci.io), and the purchase of our products including The Rabbit nucleic acid extraction system.

By accessing our site or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or purchase our products.

2. Products

Rabbit Scientific designs, manufactures, and sells The Rabbit, a non-electric, portable nucleic acid extraction and purification system. Product descriptions, specifications, and pricing are provided on our site and are subject to change without notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to purchase from us. By placing an order, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Ordering and Payment

Orders

• All orders are subject to acceptance and availability
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason
• Order confirmation does not guarantee fulfillment

Pricing

• All prices are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated
• Prices are subject to change without notice
• Shipping costs and applicable taxes are calculated at checkout

Payment

Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods available through our payment processor. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment information.

5. Pre-Orders

• Pre-order availability and estimated shipping dates are provided as good-faith estimates
• Rabbit Scientific reserves the right to modify estimated shipping timelines
• You will be notified of any material changes to your pre-order status
• Pre-orders may be cancelled for a full refund before the item ships

6. Shipping

Domestic Shipping (United States)

• Orders ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx (at our discretion)
• Estimated shipping: 5–10 business days from order confirmation
• Shipping costs are calculated and displayed before checkout

International Shipping

• We ship internationally via DHL, FedEx, or other carriers
• Estimated shipping: 10–21 business days depending on destination
• You are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees
• Shipping costs are non-refundable

Risk of Loss

Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery to the carrier or your address. We recommend tracked shipping and shipping insurance for high-value items.

7. Returns and Refunds

Inspect on Arrival

Please inspect your order promptly upon receipt. Report incomplete or incorrect shipments within 5 business days of receipt. For visible damage, note it on the delivery receipt at time of receipt, retain all original packaging and shipping documents, and contact us immediately.

Return Window

• Products may be returned within 30 days of receipt
• Items must be unused and in original, unopened packaging

Restocking Fee

A flat restocking fee of $200 applies to returns that are not the result of a manufacturing defect, shipping error, or damage on arrival.

Return Process

1. Contact sales@rabbitsci.io with your order number, device serial number, date of purchase, and reason for return
2. Obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number
3. Ship the product back in original packaging (you pay return shipping)
4. Upon receipt and inspection, we will process your refund

Refunds

• Issued to original payment method within 14 business days of our receiving the returned item
• Return and original shipping costs are non-refundable

8. Limited Warranty

Warranty Coverage

Rabbit Scientific warrants that The Rabbit is free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of delivery.

Warranty Exclusions

• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance
• Damage caused by accident, neglect, or unauthorized repair
• Damage from improper storage, temperature, or environmental factors
• Consumable components
• Damage from non-approved accessories or modifications

Warranty Claims

Contact sales@rabbitsci.io with proof of purchase and a description of the defect. We may, at our discretion, repair or replace the product at no cost.

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED ABOVE, RABBIT SCIENTIFIC MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RABBIT SCIENTIFIC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. Intellectual Property

The Rabbit™ and the Rabbit Scientific logo are trademarks of Rabbit Scientific LLC. All content, designs, and intellectual property on this website are owned by or licensed to Rabbit Scientific LLC.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rabbit Scientific LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, violation of applicable law, or misuse of our products.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration per AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules in California. By accepting these Terms, you agree to arbitration and waive your right to trial by jury.

13. Severability

If any provision is found invalid, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed. Remaining provisions continue in full force.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rabbit Scientific LLC regarding your use of the site and purchase of products.
